Yes, these guys are having yet another major moment in popular culture and, boy, are they taking to the limelight well! To help you navigate the thrilling world of the otherworldly, here's our list of the sexiest supernatural creatures you need to get familiar with ASAP.
True Blood’s Eric Northman: the Naughty Vamp We Can’t Help But Love
There are quite a few vampires running (er, flying?) rampant around Bon Temps, Louisiana, but there’s no question as to which undead hottie reins supreme. Everything about True Blood's Vampire Sheriff Eric Northman(Alexander Skarsgard) screams kinky vampire sex. And there's no denying the pure pleasure fans get from watching the devilish vamp's raw sexual chemistry with telepath Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin). In fact, fan(g)s have whipped themselves into a frenzy demanding more, more, more Eric!
True Blood’s Alcide: Because Every Good Fantasy Show Needs a Shirtless Werewolf
As much as we enjoy watching True Bloodvamps Eric and Bill duke it out for Sookie’s affections, we love that the writers tossed in another supernatural to shake up the love triangle. As Sookie's not really having Eric or Bill right now, we think what she really needs during her anti-vampire phase is a warm, furry body. That's where werewolf Alcide Herveaux(Joe Manganiello) comes in. Rowr!
Sookie Stackhouse, the Sexy-Sweet Fairy of True Blood
It’s hard to find a Bon Temps dude who doesn’t have a thing for perky waitress Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) — vampires Bill andEric, werewolf Alcide, and shapeshifter Sam to name a few... Yeah, pretty freaking awesome problem to have, right? Well, homegirl just found out she's a fairy telepath with blood the equivalent of vampire crack (Eric described it best when he said, "Your blood tastes like sunshine in a pretty blonde bottle."). Hmm, something tells us supernatural men are the least of her problems right now.
In Brightest Day, In Blackest Night … Green Lantern Won’t Escape Our Sight
First of all, we think it’s pretty cool that intergalactic superhero Hal Jordan (aka Green Lantern) is able to create practically any object he wants with his magic power ring. Still, that’s definitely not the main reason we love him so much. You gotta admit that there’s something about a man in uniform — especially when that uniform is a skintight green bodysuit, which is so not something just any man could rock so hard and with such confidence. Bravo, Ryan Reynolds. Bravo!
There’s a Reason We’ve Started Calling Him Ian Smolderhotter
We wouldn’t dream of creating a list of sexiest supernaturals without including The Vampire Diaries’ smoldering hot Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) Pshhh, 'nuff said.
Katherine Pierce, TVD’s Vampire Bitch Extrodinaire
TVD's Katherine Pierce (Nina Dobrev) might give Damon Salvatore a run for his money in the dangerously sexy category. Katherine’s been using her feminine wiles to get ahead for hundreds of years. Whether in corsets or leather biker jackets, this is one vampire beauty who knows how to get what she wants when she wants it.
This Bad Vamp’s Arrival Created Quite a Klaustastrophy
The arrival of super evil, super hot original vampire Klaus (Joseph Morgan) remains one of our favorite plotlines of The Vampire Diariesthis season. One day, Klaus might end up displaying some sort of redeeming qualities — but until then, we are quite alright with watching all the havoc and mayhem he’s sure to bring to Mystic Falls next season!
Twilight’s Lion Falls in Love With the Lamb
Oh, look. It’s undead Edward Cullen without his shirt on! The brooding Twilight Saga vamp is essential to this list — particularly because we wouldn't want to face the wrath of any Twihardsby leaving him out! Just sayin'!
Twilight’s Cheery Teen Werewolf, Jacob Black
Twilight's Jacob Black might not end up with his beloved Bella in the end, but the teen werewolf put up one helluva fight for her -- and those insane abs. How may crunches do you think it took Taylor Lautner to look like that? Not that we're complainin'...
X-Men: First Class Villain Emma Frost Loves Her Lingerie
Wow. X-Men: First Class vixen Emma Frost (January Jones) seems to have no problem showing off her figure, and if we had that body, we wouldn't either! The sexy mutant’s abilities include telepathy (Hello, mind control!) and the power to turn her body into diamond form... That latter talent sounds weird, but it is, in fact, awesome -- diamonds are the strongest and most beautiful substances in the world!
