Justin Bieber's Google Chrome commercial encourages you to be more like Justin Bieber

There were actual tears shed in living rooms across the country when those Google ads first started rolling—especially Google Chrome spot featuring Lady Gaga‘s Brooklyn bridge-running, fan-uniting “Edge of Glory” clip.

Once you’ve scored the services of one of the biggest pop stars in the universe, anybody else is going to be a step down. Unless, of course, you recruit the Biebs.

His version of the Google Chrome ad, starring some very early footage of him singing, playing a keyboard, and banging on drums and moving all the way through his massive arena tour, is after the jump.




While it does certainly tell the now-legendary tale of Bieber’s ascent from small-town Canadian dreamer to international superstar, it doesn’t quite have the same punch as Gaga’s (or especially the one constructed for Dan Savage’s It Gets Better Project).

Those were both encouraging people to use the Internet to come together as a community and play off one another for a greater good, while Bieber’s appears to encourage people to put stuff on YouTube so they can get discovered by Usher (which, while certainly a worthwhile goal, seems unlikely to happen a second time).

SELENA GOMEZ, TAYLOR SWIFT LEAD 2011 TEEN CHOICE AWARDS NOMINATIONS

Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift are among the leading contenders for the Teen Choice Awards, with Justin Bieber, Adele, Lady Gaga and Eminem also scoring multiple nominations.

As reported by E!, the nominees cover the fields of movies, music, television, fashion, sports and more. ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ was the top nominee with 12 nods overall. The ‘Glee‘ Cast earned eight, including Choice Music Group.

Among musicians, Gomez picked up noms for Choice Music Group with the Scene, Music Single for ‘Who Says,’ Choice Love Song for ‘Love You Like a Love Song,’ as well as Choice TV Actress and Choice Female Hottie.

Swift was recognized for Female Artist, Female Country Artist, Female Fashion Icon, Country Single and Choice Love Song for ‘Mean,’ and Breakup Song for ‘Back to December.’ Notably, she competes against ex Joe Jonas for the Breakup Song Award.

Bieber shows up in some odd categories: Best TV Villian, for his role on CSI, Male Hottie, Male Fashion Icon, Male Artist, and Choice Twit, which presumably rewards the most interesting tweeter.

Justin Bieber takes a drink of his hot coffee from Au Bon Pain before heading over to Fox Studios to join girlfriend Selena Gomez in NYC on Wednesday morning (June 29).

The night before, the cute couple were spotted at A|X Armani Exchange picking up a few essentials from the shop.

A spywitness tells JJJ that Selena and Justin strolled throughout the two-level store hand-in-hand while picking out a few tees for him.

They left with a couple of A|X’s comfortable and stylish Pima cotton T-Shirts, both crew and v-neck, in grey and white.

Do Justin Bieber's Summer Plans Include Selena Gomez?

What will Justin Bieber be doing this summer? Well, aside from spritzing girls with his perfume, Someday, and recording new music, he's also going to have lots of barbecues. It seems that the world's preeminent pop superstar loves to do some grillin' and chillin'.

"Favorite thing to do in the summer?" he pondered for a moment. "Have barbecues."

Justin, who already has a chock-full schedule, has managed to become quite the skilled BBQ-er. "I can barbecue. I mean, I don’t make the sauce very well, but I can grill," he explained, quite enthusiastically. "No, [I can't cook]. I can just grill and stuff."


While he didn't mention whether Selena would be in attendance at any of these outdoor gatherings, the "Monte Carlo" star did share with us last year that she too enjoyed celebrating in the great outdoors.

Just as she was turning 18, she dished while promoting "Ramona and Beezus" that she was planning on throwing herself a little pool party. "[I'm going to have a] barbecue with my friends," she revealed. "We're gonna go swimming."

As if we needed another reason why these two kids are perfect for each other, the fact that they both love to barbecue, well that does spell true love!

Justin Bieber Meets with Daughter of 9/11 Victim

Justin Bieber makes the dreams of female admirers come true simply by walking down the street in their presence.

But the teenage icon went out of his way to grant the wish of one special fan last week, and he had President Obama's help in doing it.

As previously explained, Payton Wall is a 14-year old girl who lost her father in the World Trade Center attacks on 9/11/01. She met Obama at a wreath-laying ceremony at Ground Zero in May, expressed her desire to meet Bieber and was shocked when the Commander-in-Chief replied:

"I know Justin. Maybe I could set something up."

Fast forward to June 23.

Prior to a riot practically breaking out during an autograph session/fragrance promotion at Macy's in New York, Wall, her sister and her best friend met privately with Bieber.

"It was so cool. I couldn't even believe it," Payton told The New York Post. "He was asking us about the perfume and if we were wearing it."

The girls carried a life-size cardboard cutout of Obama into the meeting and posed for a photo with Justin. They admitted they were more nervous to meet Bieber than they were to meet the President.

It's hard to blame them. The artist has had a better year.

Justin Bieber Won't 'Limit' Himself On Next Album

It's been a minute since Justin Bieber released new music, and it sounds like the waiting game continues for Beliebers. The singer is currently in the planning and recording stages for his next record and has not set any deadlines for himself. At the moment, Bieber said, he's still creating.

"I want to work a lot with myself," he told MTV News about any plans to expand his collaboration résumé, after working with artists like Chris Brown, Kanye West, Ludacris and Rascal Flatts. "And [I want to] write a lot myself. I will be working with a lot of other producers and stuff like that, but I'm just writing a lot, writing on tour."

So what is Bieber focusing on in this new batch of songs? "[I'm] writing about how I feel and producing. I've been producing on my laptop and on my computer," he said. "I've been really into it and, hopefully, this next album will be huge."

It may be a while until new stuff comes out, but it's not like fans don't already have plenty of Bieber music to listen to in the meantime. Only a couple of years into his career, Bieber has already managed to release the chart-topping albums My World, My World 2.0, Never Say Never — The Remixes and My Worlds Acoustic. He's also dabbled in a number of genres, like pop, hip-hop, R&B and, yes, even country. With so many interests in so many different sounds and so much to draw from, Bieber said he's not boxing himself in on his next release.

"I've done a lot on my acoustic guitar, so it's gonna have that vibe," he explained. "I'm not gonna really limit myself. I think music is music, and genre — I mean, I know there's country music, there's rock music, but my music is different. My voice is not meant for any style. I just want to make music."

Justin Bieber -- Clash w/ Plainclothes Cop

A member of Justin Bieber's personal security team was cited for disorderly conduct today after the singer had a frightening run-in with an undercover cop in NYC ... but it was all one MAJOR misunderstanding.

Bieber was signing autographs outside of Macy's when the crowd became unruly ... and a plainclothes police officer rushed to help the singer.

Problem is -- Bieber didn't know the guy was a cop -- so when the cop got close to Justin ... Bieber got defensive thinking he was a crazy fan. A member of Bieber's security team immediately grabbed the cop and tried to pull him away.

The cop quickly identified himself -- and cited the security team member for disorderly conduct.

But this story has a happy ending ... sources connected to the situation tell us both sides straightened everything out -- and Bieber is still signing autographs inside the department store.

LIL WAYNE WON’T COLLABORATE WITH JUSTIN BIEBER

Though they may be bros, Lil Wayne refuses to collaborate with Justin Bieber … No matter how much he begs. He’s got good intentions, of course. Weezy says he doesn’t want to mess with the ‘Baby’ singer’s squeaky-clean image.

Allegedly, the Biebs has been bugging not-so-Lil Wayne to do a duet with him, and he’s even started pestering the most famous rapper through text message. Wayne says, with all due respect, hell naw.

“That’s my little homie now,” Weezy clarifies in a new interview with XXL Magazine. “He texts me every night asking me to do [his] d— song. That’s my n—-, but I can’t do it. Like I said, I don’t want to f— his sh– up.”

As of late, Biebs has been testing the tainted waters, sporting new tattoos and ear piercings, so maybe he doesn’t want to be the pop-fresh, good boy he’s been painted as. Still, Wayne doesn’t want to exchange his own sharp lyrics for a toned down version, and we’re not so sure the ‘One Less Lonely Girl’ pop star is quite ready for the dark side.

Anyway, Wayne has his sights set on another clean face. “I want to work with Justin Timberlake,” he admits. “That boy got a voice; that boy can sing. He needs to come back right there on Tha Carter IV.” At least, at 30, Timberlake is old enough to make his own decisions and work alongside the notoriously troublesome rapper — without having to get a permission slip from his mom.

The 17-year-old singer tried to keep a low profile with a Detroit Tigers baseball cap, but he was still mobbed by fans and photographers!

Justin flew in from New York City, where he promoted his new fragrance, Someday. He also came out to show his support for girlfriend Selena Gomez at a screening of her new flick, Monte Carlo.

Justin also recently received some good news from pal Sean Kingston after his jet ski accident.

“I just think that what we decided to do — making the fragrance for females, not getting a cologne for males — I said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m more concerned about how girls smell because I’m a guy, and I know what smells good, and I know what I like, so girls should know, if [I like] it, then other guys are going to like it,” he told MTV news on the purple carpet at his launch.

Throngs of fans waited outside the landmark Big Apple department store just to catch a glimpse of the 17-year-old teen dream.

And the dedication from the hundreds of Beliebers who swarmed the area did not go unnoticed.

“My fans are crazy,” he shared. “They wait out in the rain and anything, so they’re crazy, they’re awesome!”

What is the magic scent for women?

According to a very sure and confident Justin, a mix of “flowery and fruity.”

“There was a long process because they brought it out on the road and stuff,” Justin said of his perfume. “I picked out the bottle and designed everything.”

Rep: Scuffle at Bieber event 'a misunderstanding'

A scuffle outside a Macy's Inc. department store where Justin Bieber was attending a promotional event Thursday for his new fragrance was "a misunderstanding," the singer's representative said.

"This was a momentary, well-intentioned misunderstanding that was quickly resolved, and the event went very well," said publicist Melissa Victor in an email.

The incident happened outside the Broadway entrance of Macy's in Manhattan.

Police said Bieber's representatives contacted them to say he wanted to go outside to greet fans. Police set up a small pen where he could do so.

Bieber left the pen and went straight to the main barricade holding back an estimated 500 people. The crowd surged forward and the barricade started to come down.

Police officers and Bieber's personal security detail then surrounded him to usher him back inside. Police said a 47-year-old man standing in the doorway refused to step aside and had to be physically moved. The man was issued a summons for disorderly conduct and released. Police learned later that he was a member of the singer's security team.

The 17-year-old Canadian singer was not injured in the scuffle.

Inside Bieber seemed unfazed. He gave interviews to the press, posed for photographs and with fans.

Justin had quite a scare when he came outside to greet fans who didn’t get to go inside — according to GossipCop, witnesses say that as Justin came out, an unidentified man jumped a police barrier and knocked him to the ground!

“Cops grabbed the man, and Gossip Cop can confirm that he was taken into custody and given a summons for disorderly conduct,” the site reports.

Bieber, 17, had David Letterman's audience in stitches as he read out a list of ten pretend facts about himself.

Reading out the final 'fact', the teen singing sensation pointed to his famous 'do' and declared: 'It's a hairpiece.'

Bieber, who is dating Disney star Selena Gomez, also jokingly stated he had served eight months behind bars for siphoning gas and claimed he bought a four-slice toaster when he 'hit it big'.

He told the studio audience his real name was 'Green Lantern' and said he was 'not really a big fan' of actor Kevin James.

The Hitch star, who was also a guest on Letterman's chat show, pretended to look crestfallen as cameras cut to him backstage.

Cracking gags about his age, Bieber pointed to host David Letterman and said: 'My Mom had to remind me that he's not Larry King.'

'As hard as I've tried, I don't know how to not be adorable,' he quipped.

'Last week I accidentally waited in line for two hours for my own autograph.'

Bieber also got in a plug for his new perfume, Someday, claiming it 'makes a delicious low-calorie salad dressing'.

'I begged my publicist to get me out of this,' he added.

This is a tad over the top don't you think? According to The Sun, Justin Bieber has had that much trouble with fans trying to steal his dirty undies that he just burns them all to stop them getting their filthy paws on his filthy drawers!

A hotel employee in Canada was recently caught with a pair of Justin's tighty whitey's in her purse so Bieber's team now have a "burn bag" to shove them all in until bonfire time!

We can understand wanting to see Bieber in his pants but wanting to own his worn pants? That's a little bit gross. Even we wouldn't cross that line. And we can be pretty disgusting.

We feel a little bit sorry for the person who has to look after the burn bag. We can't imagine carrying round a bag of used underwear is much fun, even if does belong to the mighty Bieber.

Well Chris Brown, we're STILL pretty mad at you for your previous behaviour, so we don't think you should ever really question anyone being mad at you ever again if we're honest - and we're always honest.

"I actually stood him up on accident," Chris told MTV in his perfect English that doesn't make us think he's stupid at ALL.

I did it — just check it out.' And I looked at it and listened to it and I was like, 'Man, this is crazy.' ... He's a great kid."

So two things...firstly, WHAT?

Birthday Bash For Justin Bieber’s Manager

The festivities were amazing. The guests were mingling while they were enjoying drinks that the onsite bartending staff had created for them to enjoy. They all wanted to spend some time with the birthday boy and give them their well wishes. There were many appetizers being served for the guests to munch on, while they were enjoying the festivities.

The party was growing and being off the roof as many celebrities hit the stage to put on a performance. Usher along with MC Hammer put on a performance for the birthday boy. Justin Bieber put on a show for his manager to celebrate his special day, as well as many others.
